NEW YORK (MarketWatch) — Mortgage rates dipped again this week, with the average 30-year fixed mortgage rate falling from 5.97% to 5.92%, according to Bankrate.com’s weekly national survey. The average 15-year fixed rate mortgage dropped to 5.67%, while the average jumbo 30-year fixed rate slumped to 7.46%.
